Sustained inflationary pressures and further rate rises have continued to impact commercial property investment, with H1 transaction volumes down more than 50% year-on-year across the UK.

Here the team examine the detail behind this, key trends and themes across sectors and regions, and where this might progress over the second half of the year.

We also reveal results of our latest investor survey and what this means for confidence, sentiment and likely activity across the market.

"While the economic environment still feels very challenging, recent data suggests the worst is behind us and conditions are likely to improve over the coming months. We expect transaction volumes to stay low in the short term but pricing will stabilise and confidence will improve as we move towards next year. Capital is available for the right opportunities, and these will increasingly emerge across the risk spectrum."
