Q1 UK Living Capital
Markets Update

Our UK Living Capital Markets Update identifies market trends, delves into market activity and looks at the impact of Covid-19 across student housing, coliving, multifamily, later living and long income.

This edition of the UK Living Quarterly Bulletin has coincided with the outbreak of Covid-19 and its spread across the globe has taken many by surprise. While longer term impacts are not known at this stage, investment activity is likely to slow in H1 2020 as investors react to uncertainty

While the current consensus is for the global economy to rebound in the latter half of the year, the exact trajectory is unknowable, and the situation remains fluid. The purpose of this bulletin is to provide an update on current market activity across the Living sectors, as well as highlight the potential implications of the situation going forward.

We also highlight observations from our latest Living research, the JLL European Living Investor Survey 2020, which shows that, prior to the pandemic, 95% of investors were planning on increasing or maintaining their exposure to the Living markets this year, providing opportunities for investors across the Living spectrum.
