The time is ripe for issues of performance measurement in corporate real estate to be the subject of a broad and comprehensive review. We must begin to redefine the metrics that matter most, to find those that are core to corporate goals and will drive new value creation initiatives. To ensure a better match between real estate and corporate strategies, this research set out to develop a balanced set of performance metrics presented within a framework that can be tied to broader corporate goals. By measuring the things that matter it is possible to contain costs while also driving better organizational performance.
