What if your underused spaces could create value?

As demand for urban industrial space intensifies, what spaces do you have which could work harder?

May 09, 2021

Real estate within cities is evolving and the way freight is moved across cities is also changing. As sustainability and the drive to create clean air zones in cities moves up both corporate and government agendas, we are seeing companies adapt by implementing all-electric fleets in their last mile deployment.

Alongside this, the pandemic has accelerated changing consumer habits and the online grocery market has evolved, moving to an on-demand market. Companies are now offering shorter delivery times to get goods to consumers more quickly - gone are the days of 2-3 delivery windows, city consumers now expect to receive items in a day or just a few hours. Several new companies have been set up recently to offer delivery within 10 minutes of a consumer ordering from their app, this has created a surge in demand for smaller hubs in cities to undertake this delivery offering.

With very few options of industrial availability in inner cities last mile operators need to consider alternative uses for their last mile deployment and electric fleet charging.
