National Australia Bank and Lombard International sign at The Scalpel
London’s newest tower, The Scalpel at 52 Lime Street, is now 53% let or under offer
London - National Australia Bank and Lombard International are the latest occupiers to pre-let space at London’s newest office tower, The Scalpel at 52 Lime Street. Over half of the building is now let or under offer as the building nears completion, demonstrating the strength of demand for the best quality office space in the City.
National Australia Bank (NAB) has taken 26,864 sq ft on levels 9 and 10, with financial services company Lombard International signing for 9,189 sq ft on level 27. Of a total of 387,000 sq ft, just 180,000 sq ft remains to be let on floors ranging in size from approximately 6,500 to 15,500 sq ft.
Rolfe Lakin, CFO of NAB said: “After months of deliberation we are really looking forward to relocating to 52 Lime Street in late 2019 or early 2020. The Scalpel offers the NAB London team, visiting customers and overseas colleagues an efficient, state of the art, high specification space in a vibrant core City location in the heart of London’s financial district.”

The Scalpel, with its distinctive geometric design, has become one of the most recognisable towers in the City; standing at 190m tall, it comprises over 387,000 sq ft of office floor space over 35 floors.
Situated on the corner of Lime Street and Leadenhall Street, opposite the Lloyd's building and adjacent to the Willis Building, the area is home to some of the world’s most respected and successful businesses, from historic blue-chips to modern tech firms; from thriving small businesses to the giants of the global insurance market.
The development also includes a new 11,000 sq ft public square at the base of the building. Alongside the restoration of the historic Lime Street Square, the new public space will provide a vastly improved setting on Lime Street that will be further enhanced by a new ‘coffee house’, echoing those for which this part of London is famous.
