JLL has realigned the structure of its UK National Investment group and made a series of new hires and internal moves to enable seamless client servicing and extra capacity, after H1 2021 investor volumes reached their second highest level on record.

JLL has brought together its Retail, Office and Industrial teams to be led by Directors Jonathan Heptonstall, Simon Verrall and Joel Duncan respectively, under a National Capital Markets banner. Olly Paine will oversee the regional teams and functions as a critical point of transactional interconnection between London-based colleagues and the regions.

The National Industrial team has been boosted by the internal transfers of Director Chris Robinson from Retail, senior surveyor Jake Harris from the agency side of the business and surveyor Jonathan Turner from the offices team. Daniel Tiernan has also joined the Industrial team as a senior surveyor after three years at Avison Young.

According to JLL the UK industrial investment market, in the 12 months to June 2021, hit £14bn compared to a 10-year average of £5.5 billion, with momentum mainly attributable to an uplift in online retail adoption and growing urban/last mile logistics. The expansion of this team is reflective of an increased focus by clients on this growing and diversifying sector.

JLL’s UK National Offices team has added Will Oliver to its ranks. He has joined as an Associate from BNP Paribas Real Estate where he has spent the last six years in its National Office Investment team where he was involved in a landmark deal of approximately £750m to purchase 5 business parks across the UK, as well as the sales of the Cisco and Microsoft headquarters. He follows his former BNP Paribas Real Estate colleague, Sam Gibson who joined JLL’s National Offices team as a Director in January.

JLL’s Retail Investment team has also welcomed Senior Surveyor Georgie Levene from Capital & Regional. She previously spent time at JLL as a Valuations Analyst in 2018.

Will Oliver, Associate in JLL’s UK National Offices team, said: “The JLL team has a clear vision to broaden and deepen its investor offering and capitalise on the evolving opportunities. I look forward to working with them and identifying the right opportunities and solutions for our clients.”

Andrew Frost, Head of UK Capital Markets and Residential at JLL, said: “We have reinforced the National Capital Market team’s strong skillsets with a number of internal moves and new hires. They take up their positions at an incredibly exciting time, with buoyant market conditions and a strong strategic growth trajectory for our business focused on seamlessly servicing every facet of a client’s portfolio, at every stage of their investment journey.”
