JLL and Knight Frank appointed by Pearson to market London headquarters
Advisers instructed on 80 Strand, WC2
JLL and Knight Frank have been appointed by Pearson to market its London headquarters. Following a previously announced London property strategy review, Pearson has taken the decision to seek a sub-tenant for up to 250,000 sq ft of space at 80 Strand, WC2, also known as Shell Mex House.
80 Strand occupies a prominent site on the apex of the River Thames and has some of central London’s largest floor plates of up to 40,000 sq ft. The building is located close to Covent Garden which continues to attract a wide mix of occupiers who are drawn to its amenities, transport links and open spaces.
Tom Brammeld, Director of West End Agency at JLL, said: “As the supply pipeline across the West End continues to be eroded, 80 Strand has the potential to offer a solution for tenants seeking good quality space in a central location.”
Angus Goswell, Head of the Knight Frank City Office added: “As the supply of large quality blocks of space across the entire central London landscape continues to be rapidly absorbed and not replaced, we are very confident that this superb space with extraordinary views in a landmark building will prove highly attractive to a number of occupiers.”
