JLL appoints Emma Hoskyn to lead sustainability in the UK
Emma becomes UK Head of Sustainability to lead JLL’s commercial and corporate sustainability agendas
JLL has appointed Emma Hoskyn as its new Head of Sustainability for the UK.
Emma joined JLL in 2007, starting in the Upstream sustainability consulting team before moving into the central sustainability team, where she has spent the last two years as Head of Sustainable Client Solutions. She will sit on the UK Board to ensure that JLL’s sustainability agenda remains core to its decision-making and business strategy.
As part of her appointment Emma will lead JLL’s commercial and corporate sustainability agendas, working with the growing team of over 100 sustainability professionals across the business.
JLL first established a business line dedicated to sustainability services in the UK over 20 years ago. It continues to lead the changing sustainability landscape by supporting clients with end to end sustainability solutions and has made a number of its own sustainability commitments. In 2019 it became the first property consultancy in the UK to take a major step towards changing the built environment industry by committing to net zero carbon. As part of the commitment, JLL will achieve zero carbon across its own UK workplaces by 2030. It is using its influence to spearhead the wider adoption of net zero carbon buildings as part of the Race to Zero campaign, driving the pace of change across the real estate industry.
Emma Hoskyn, Head of Sustainability at JLL, added: “I am really looking forward to the next stage in my career at JLL, supporting our continued efforts to deliver the best sustainability solutions for our clients, our people and our environment. Now more than ever, we’re looking beyond words to action as we focus on returns that encompass economic, environmental and social value.”
Stephanie Hyde, UK Chief Executive at JLL, added: “Sustainability is one of the most business critical issues for our clients and Emma’s appointment is an excellent opportunity for us to build on our 20-year sustainability heritage and support our clients with innovative, holistic solutions. Having joined JLL in 2007, Emma has held numerous positions within our Sustainability team, most recently as Head of Sustainable Client Solutions. She is highly experienced, respected in the industry and has played an important role in our business over the years to integrate sustainability into what JLL does and how we do it.”
