JLL advises Lightsource bp on the sale of an operational co-located solar PV & BESS asset

LONDON, 04 September 2024 – JLL’s Energy and Infrastructure Advisory team acted as exclusive sell-side M&A advisor to Lightsource bp, a global leader in the development and management of solar energy projects, on its sale of an operational 49.9MW solar PV + 25MW co-located BESS project.

Following a competitive process, Schroders Greencoat acquired the project, which is one of the largest operational co-located projects in the UK, while Lightsource bp will be retained to undertake the Operations & Maintenance and Asset Management.

The completion of this sale marks the 3^rd successful transaction conducted by JLL for Lightsource bp, following the sale of two UK solar PV portfolios in 2021 and 2022.
