JLL advises Clearstone Energy in securing a strategic partner for their 100MW solar and co-located BESS portfolio
JLL Energy & Infrastructure Advisory team has advised Clearstone in securing a strategic partnership with Shell for their 100MW solar and co-located BESS development portfolio
JLL has acted as lead advisor to Clearstone Energy in securing a strategic partner for their 100MW solar and co-located BESS portfolio. Following a competitive bidding process, the opportunity was awarded to global energy company Shell.
Subject to approvals and once constructed, the 100MW portfolio will produce enough renewable energy to power over 50,000 homes per year. The portfolio consists of two solar farms, located in the Southeast of England, and each with sufficient import capacity to accommodate 48MW of battery energy storage. Both projects will be connected directly into the transmission network.
This sale was the latest in a series of successful solar processes run by JLL, following on from the disposal of RNA’s 850MWp portfolio and Engie’s 45MWp sites earlier this year.
