Finalists in JLL’s inaugural ‘Hackathon’ make their digital pitches today
JLL’s event to support emerging tech ideas from UK employees
London, 31st October 2018 - JLL has launched its first ever UK Hackathon, an internal ideation and digital awareness campaign aimed at encouraging the development of innovative tech solutions to challenges faced by the real estate sector - whether this be internal JLL process, client challenge or market issue.
Over the past four months, internal applicants from JLL’s UK business have submitted their tech ideas, culminating in five finalists making their wining business case to a panel of judges today.
The winning idea will be developed by JLL with a third party digital developer to create a proof of concept tool by the end of the year, with a wider rollout to planned following successful trials.
Alex Edds, head of UK Innovation, said: “We are excited to be bringing our JLL hackathon to life today. Digitization is already transforming our industry meaning that the way in which real estate is designed, used and transacted is fast evolving.
