May 28, 2021

Birmingham City Council has instructed JLL on the sale of the Brasshouse Centre at 50 Sheepcote Street. The former language centre which is located to the west of Birmingham City Centre is currently occupied by Guardians.

The 0.68 acre development opportunity is situated within one of Birmingham City Centre’s most exciting regeneration areas, Broad Street. Within easy walking distance to Birmingham’s leading leisure, retail, and commercial hubs, the Brasshouse Centre offers an opportunity to deliver an iconic building. The council would consider a range of uses. Residential developers will be expecting to deliver 200 – 300 units

William Cox, residential director at JLL in Birmingham, said: “This prime city centre development opportunity should appeal to a number of parties seeking to deliver a high-density new development. The connectivity and proximity to the city’s transport hubs and wide range of close-by amenities will ensure that this vibrant area of Birmingham continues to grow. This a great chance be part of that success and contribute to growth of the city centre.”
