When Willis Group and Towers Watson merged, it brought a potent combination for clients, employees and investors to the fore. As part of this transformation, Willis Towers Watson had an ambition to develop a new brand in line with the technology-enabled, fast-moving world that their clients and employees were now operating in.
The leading global advisory and brokerage firm selected JLL’s Project Management team to implement a workplace change management programme and deliver a fit-out of thirteen work floors of their office space to cater for the increased number of employees brought to the Willis Building as a consequence of the merger. Together, we created an innovative workplace strategy and design that reflects Willis Tower Watson’s energised culture and helps their employees to do their best work. Enhancing collaboration, flexibility and efficient idea sharing was a consistent thread throughout the workplace design, envisaged in the refurbishment of the in-house staff and client restaurants and creation of contemporary breakout areas.
Working in a fully-occupied building at all times, we minimised disruption and delivered a workplace strategy and design scoped to staff needs and Willis Towers Watson’s commercial vision through extensive consultation with employees and change management on the ground during the project.
The result? JLL and Willis Towers Watson established a vibrant and collaborative workplace that never strays from its focus on supporting today’s employees. Furthermore, it reflects the advisory firm’s brand evolution and exciting direction of travel.
