How USS worked with JLL to develop a project management plan to maximise performance across their retail and leisure portfolio.
Universities Superannuation Scheme Ltd (USS) were looking to invest £17m regenerating UK retail & leisure parks to boost footfall and performance. The retail & leisure parks were based across UK and totalled 550,000 sq.ft. Our Project and Development services team executed the regeneration across 3 parks. Alongside the USS team, we scoped out the works needed to improve the parks’ performance including, retail tenants, managing the budget and overseeing the quality of works right through to delivery.
Implementing specialist knowledge and expertise gained from advising on similar schemes for refurbishment & new build projects in the out of town retail & leisure park sector; we were able to capitalise on our UK market insights to provide USS with the best advice. Works were completed on time and on budget for the client.
Working collaboratively, the team successfully delivered the £17m refurbishment works across 3 retail park schemes, resulting in increased footfall and park performance.
