The University of Bath was creating a new 6,000 square metre home for its Architectural and Computing Services departments. Our job was to project manage and deliver the scheme within the brief to a strict time frame.
Working together is an important part of any large project. But when the client needs to deliver everything from research and teaching space to a cutting-edge computer data centre, teamwork is vital.
It was important to ensure the project ran smoothly. So, we successfully held last minute negotiations to get the planning permission needed to start the development, while the delivery of post-tender adjustments brought the project back into budget. This collaborative approach resulted in a double height space, creating an inspiring and open environment for future architects to be taught.
We’re confident this is a space that will inspire learning and improve the student experience.
