Wage

JLL UK and its design and fit-out business Tetris have been certified with the Living Wage Employer Mark.

The Living Wage Foundation has also accredited JLL’s Integrated Facilities Management (JLL Services) and its Property & Asset Management businesses (JLL Resources) with Living Wage Recognised Service Provider status.

This accreditation means all of JLL’s directly employed staff and regular suppliers in JLL offices such as cleaners, caterers and security, will be paid at or above the real Living Wage. In addition to this, all the suppliers for JLL’s Integrated Facilities Management, and Property and Asset Management businesses will be required to provide bids which include a Living Wage option for JLL’s clients. This ensures the Living Wage is always an option in traditionally low paid work such as cleaning, catering or security.

What is the real Living Wage?

The Living Wage Foundation believes that a hard day's work deserves a fair day's pay. There are currently over 3,600 Living Wage accredited employers. The Foundation supports responsible employers to go further than the Government’s minimum and pay the real Living Wage, to all their staff, so they can earn enough to meet the cost of living.

Sophie Walker, Head of Sustainability, JLL UK, said: When we launched our Building a Better Tomorrow sustainability UK targets for 2020 earlier this year, we committed to becoming a Living Wage accredited business because we believe a fair day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay. Employees who are paid fairly are happier and as a result, businesses benefit from reduced absenteeism, reduced HR costs, and the overall result is greater productivity. Furthermore, our accreditation supports our commitment to positively impacting the communities we work in.
