The findings reveal a very strong start to the year for non-residential construction, with volumes rising by 7.9% over the course of Q1. Total starts for the year to the end of March totalled £25.6bn, compared to £23.8bn for the 12 months to the end of December. This was driven by a large increase in new build starts, which rose by 16.7% in Q1.
