Jones Lang LaSalle secures planning permission for new hotel at London’s Kings Cross

London, 27th July 2010 – Acting on behalf of Romulus Construction Ltd, Jones Lang LaSalle has successfully secured planning permission for a new 270 bedroom hotel at 101 Euston Road in London’s Kings Cross. 

Clifton House, the current building at the site, includes both office and retail space, located immediately opposite the British Library and close to the main rail terminals at Kings Cross, St Pancras and Euston.  In addition to the new hotel, the planning permission granted to Romulus Construction Ltd retains the restaurants and retailers at ground floor plus a 3 storey roof extension of offices. 
Guy Bransby, head of Planning commented, “The decision to grant planning permission for this site is a significant achievement, and a great result for the positive growth of development at Kings Cross.  Romulus Construction Ltd has ambitious plans for a major development which will boost tourism and enhance the business markets for the surrounding area”.
