Edinburgh, 26 September 2011 - Mercer, one of the world’s leading providers of human resource consulting, outsourcing and investment services, has secured new premises at Edinburgh’s prestigious Quartermile development.
Mercer has signed an eleven year sub-lease and will relocate from its current offices on Hanover Street in November. Quartermile One will provide Mercer with 10,311 sq ft of new Grade A open plan office space at a rent of £26 per sq ft. Set at the entrance of the 19 acre site on Lauriston Place, Quartermile One offers cutting edge Grade A office design, with light contemporary open plan workspaces amongst the historic Victorian buildings.
The seven-storey Foster + Partners designed building, offers nearly 100,000 sq ft of panoramic glass walled office space, with stunning views of Edinburgh Castle and George Heriot’s school to the north and Quartermile to the south. Voted BCO Scottish Regional Commercial Workspace 2008, Quartermile One is already home to solicitors Maclay Murray Spens and Pure Gym with neighbours Morton Fraser on Quartermile Two.
The firm has an Edinburgh team of nearly 100 investment consultants, financial risk strategists, actuaries and pension scheme administrators. Within the services sector, it is one of the largest employers in Scotland, with its offices in Glasgow and Aberdeen employing an additional 200 people.
