Handelsbanken continues regional expansion

Birmingham, 8th November 2011 – Handelsbanken, Sweden’s oldest listed company has continued its regional expansion with the opening of a new branch in Solihull.

Located on the Warwick Road at a newly refurbished office scheme close to the town centre, called The Courtyard, Handelsbanken’s new branch manager Richard Baker said : “Opening in the heart of Solihull means we are close to the local professional community and our main target markets –individual banking and corporates. “

Handelsbanken brings traditional style relationship banking to Solihull, focussing on individual cases and customer service rather than driving up market share.  The bank has been in the UK since the 1980s and presently operates from 111 branches across the country.

Richard added, “The Bank prides itself on delivering outstanding customer service, with clients who value a real Relationship service with a Banker who will assess their particular circumstances on its own merits and is empowered to make decisions”.

Jon Carmalt from Jones Lang LaSalle's National Office Agency team in Birmingham, who acted jointly with Salway Bradbury as agents for landlords, Prudential Pensions said: “Solihull is a natural location for the bank’s offering and The Courtyard is exactly the right environment to reflect its quality operation.  It’s just a short distance by foot from the local town shopping centre, however onsite parking also enables clients to easily visit the bank and discuss their requirements.”
