Historic Landmark Investment Property Put Up For Sale in Castlefield


Manchester, 1st February 2012 - Peel Land and Property have put the Grade II listed, Castle Quay building in Castlefield, Manchester City Centre up for sale.
 
The landmark property is home to the Radio station Key 103 along with other occupiers including Edmond Shipway, Kinetic Worldwide, Choice Bar & Restaurant, MGP investments and Eight Cafe Bar.  None of the existing tenants or occupiers will be affected.
 
The property comprises 23,586 sq ft of commercial accommodation on a site of circa 2.08 acres and produces £324,280 per annum.  It is being marketed by Jones Lang LaSalle with an asking price of £3,400,000.

The property was built in 1831 by the Manchester Ship Canal Company.  It was originally used to store maize transported using the Bridgewater and Rochdale canals, and was sensitively renovated and converted into its current configuration during the restoration of Castlefield around 20 years ago.
