Former Magistrates’ Court Goes Under the Hammer in Next Jones Lang LaSalle Auction

Birmingham, 22nd February 2012 – Grade II listed former Magistrates’ Court in West Bromwich is available to buy via auction through commercial real estate firm Jones Lang LaSalle on Tuesday 6th March 2012.  The detached freehold former Magistrates’ court, built in 1890 totals about 13,607 square foot, at a guide price is £150,000.

Jason Birch, Auctions Director at Jones Lang LaSalle, commented that: “The building is Grade II Listed and lies within the West Bromwich Town Centre Conservation Area.  This popular lot steeped in interesting history could even provide film companies with an excellent venue for courtroom drama scenes.”

Commenting on the market, Felix Rigg, Principal Auctioneer and Director at Jones Lang LaSalle, said: “The current market offers genuine opportunities for a buyer to acquire commercial property at reasonable prices.  From their perspective, I think it really is a question of making hay while the sun shines and with the green shoots of economic recovery already in sight.”
