Jones Lang LaSalle named top property agent at regional and national levels

Manchester, 9th March 2012 – Jones Lang LaSalle has been named the North West’s top regional agent in a national property competition, in which it also won the overall national title of top agent.

King Sturge won the North West title last year, and following its merger with Jones Lang LaSalle on 1st June 2011, the combined company consolidated King Sturge’s title-winning performances in the office and industrial categories.

Said Jones Lang LaSalle’s head of Manchester office, David Lathwood:  “Despite the general doom and gloom in the economy in 2011, Jones Lang LaSalle’s activity in the North West was far from moribund, with several major transactions taking place.

“Jones Lang LaSalle worked on the sale of the Towers Business Park and One Piccadilly Gardens, the acquisition of 46 acres by Asda at Kingsway and the KMPG acquisition in the city centre, all of which suggest an underlying strength in the North West market which is not readily duplicated elsewhere in other major UK regional cities.

“We are confident that as 2012 progresses, Jones Lang LaSalle will continue to prove one of the most active agents at regional and national level.”

The competition, based on transaction volumes across all commercial property sectors, was run by online property magazine, EGi, part of the Estates Gazette media group.
