Fairdeal Autos Drive into Edinburgh


Edinburgh, 19 April 2012 - Fairdeal Autos, the largest independent garage in West Lothian, has opened a new branch in Edinburgh.

Located at 1 Fords Road in West Edinburgh, the business has signed a 10 year lease with landlord JB Mackenzie Holdings Ltd for 4,731 sq ft of space in Edinburgh at a rate of £6 per sq ft. The new branch adds to the firm’s existing base in Bathgate which was set up in 1995.

The new branch provides the business with a strategic location between the City Centre and the A720 Edinburgh City By-pass, offering excellent access to all parts of Edinburgh. Surrounding commercial occupiers include a mix of office, retailers and trade operators, notably Lothian Joint Valuation Board, Lothian Primary Care NHS, Wolfson Micro-electronics, HSS Hire, Kwik Fit, Arnold Clark and Sainsbury’s.

Craig Watson, Associate Director for Jones Lang LaSalle’s Office Agency team in Scotland, commented: "Fairdeal Autos first expressed an interest extremely quickly following the expiry of the previous tenant’s lease. In Edinburgh there is very little available industrial stock of this size especially with a secure yard which helped us capture a tenant quickly on favourable terms. Market demand remains focused on smaller units in good locations.”

Jones Lang LaSalle represented the landlord JB Mackenzie Holdings Ltd.

As part of the same development Jones Lang LaSalle continues to market two vacant office buildings at 490 and 492 Gorgie Road, providing office space from 2,692 sq ft up to 8,394 sq ft. 492 Gorgie Road has a secure loading bay and roller shutter door to the rear. Both buildings have a superb car parking ratio and benefit from main road frontage onto Gorgie Road where approximately 24,000 vehicles pass on an average daily basis.
