2200 Property professionals descend on Dorney Lake for the sixth Jones Lang LaSalle Property Triathlon

London, 28th May 2012 – On Friday 25th May 2012 over 2,200 property professionals descended upon Dorney Lake in Eton, the venue for this year’s Olympic rowing events, to take part in the sixth Jones Lang LaSalle Property Triathlon.

Co-sponsored by Property Week and coordinated by Human Race, the event is now firmly established as one of the UK's largest triathlons with entries filling up in record time. This year, the event raised in excess of £130,000 which was donated to corporate charity Macmillan Cancer Support, and takes the total raised to date by this event since it began in 2007 to over £1 million.

Peter McGoughlin, Welfare Rights Advisor at Macmillan said: “When people get diagnosed with cancer, the questions of finances come at 100 mph. Macmillan is here to help cancer patients stabilise their finances and maximise their income, give emotional support and listen. Money worries are the last thing you need when you're facing the toughest fight of your life. However, for Macmillan to support people affected by cancer every step of the way, we rely on fundraising events like these. Thank you on behalf of everybody at Macmillan for organising this great fundraiser.”
Richard Batten, UK Executive Chairman at Jones Lang LaSalle and cofounder of the event said: “What a great day! The sixth Jones Lang LaSalle Property Triathlon was bigger and better than ever, and to hold it at the Olympic rowing venue in our Olympic year made it all the more special for us and all those taking part. We are delighted to have exceeded £1 million raised through holding the Property Triathlon over the 6 years.”
