Freeze Pro Shop surfs into new Edinburgh premises

Edinburgh, 12 July 2012 – Freeze Pro Shop, the UK’s premier ski, snowboard and surf store, is moving from its current store on Edinburgh’s Hanover Street to new premises at 165 Bonnington Road.

Freeze has signed a five year lease with landlord Sackville Property Tandem (GP Ltd) to take 4,834 sq ft at a rate of £26,500 p.a. The refurbished stand alone unit at 165 Bonnington Road in Bonnington Industrial Estate comprises both warehousing and office space, supporting the retailer’s growth strategy for increasing online sales.

Bonnington Road Industrial Estate is located approximately 2 miles north east of Edinburgh City Centre and more specifically adjacent to the junction of Bonnington Road and Pilrig Street in the heart of Leith.

Leith remains one of Edinburgh’s few remaining industrial locations and in recent years has undergone a resurgence in residential and commercial development. Local occupiers include ATS Scotland Limited, Johnstones Decorating Centre and the Cloth Shop.

Kirsty Palmer, Associate Director for Jones Lang LaSalle’s Industrial & Logistics team in Scotland, said: “Bonnington Industrial Estate is an excellent location for occupiers looking for well-priced industrial and office accommodation close to Edinburgh’s city centre. Freeze’s new unit provides the team with the appropriate space to support their strategy as they look to grow the business.”

Jones Lang LaSalle acted for Sackville Property Tandem (GP Ltd) and Mhairi Jarvis acted for Freeze (Scotland) Ltd.
