Exeter, 13 July 2012 – At the recent Western Morning News/Michelmores Commercial Property Awards, Jones Lang LaSalle was involved in three of the seven nominated categories and formed part of the team successful in winning the Building of the Year award.

The winning building, Oxygen House, is a 40,000 sq ft headquarters building on Exeter Business Park which was recently completed for Atass.

Oxygen House was also nominated for the Eco Building of the Year award due to its impressive list of green credentials and BREEAM Excellent rating.  It is an iconic building designed by internationally acclaimed architects, Broadway Malyan, and is a gateway building at the M5/A30 interchange.
Summerfield Developments completed the building as part of the final phase of Exeter Business Park and was sold by Jones Lang LaSalle in 2008.

The Jones Lang LaSalle Exeter team, comprising Andrew Pearce, Tim Western and David Slee, was also involved in two other projects that were nominated for awards: St Boniface offices for the Heritage Project of the Year and Hellermann Tyton for the Project over £3 million.

Michael Portillo presented the awards at a well-attended evening event at the Great Hall at Exeter University.

Andrew Pearce director in Jones Lang LaSalle's Exeter office, commented: ”This was the award to win and for us to be part of the winning team is a real bonus.  It was good to meet Michael Portillio who, in his own words, is ‘one of the greatest future former Prime Ministers (as is David Miliband)!”
