Exeter, 23 July 2012 – The Beach Hotel, a substantial waterfront hotel in Minehead has gone on the market as its owner looks to retire.

The hotel, which overlooks the seafront with views over the Bristol Channel towards the Welsh coast, is being brought to market by Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels for a guide price of £1.8 million.

Located on The Avenue, to the east of the main town centre, the large corner property is set over three floors and comprises a bar which is currently under a 12 month tenancy agreement, an independent lounge bar and dining area, a night club, owner’s accommodation and 27 ensuite bedrooms. The property is available freehold.

Minehead is a popular seaside destination with a number of visitor attractions such as the West Somerset railway, Exmoor National Park and the village of Dunster which draw in tourists year-round.

Michael Easton, at Jones Lang LaSalle, said:

“Our client has owned and operated the business since 1994 and is looking to retire on sale. The Beach Hotel is a superb opportunity and well suited to someone already operating in the hospitality, leisure and tourism trade.”
