C&A Autocentre Opens New Premises At Belleknowes Industrial Estate

Hermes Real Estate Investment Management Limited (HREIML) has secured C&A Autocentre Ltd as a new tenant at its Belleknowes Industrial Estate in Inverkeithing, Fife.

The Fife based ‘one stop’ car services company has opened a new garage at Unit 17 on the estate, a mid-terrace modern warehouse with office space comprising 5,680 sq ft. The company has signed a ten year lease, at an undisclosed rate in close proximity to the quoting rent of £28,000 p.a. With a fully trained team of mechanics led by Colin Johnstone & Andy Dickson, the new premises offers C&A Auto Centre a second outlet in Fife, in addition to its existing premises on South Eastfield Industrial Estate in Glenthrothes.

Extending to 10 acres, Belleknowes Industrial Estate comprises a total of 22 industrial units arranged in terraced rows, and is prominently located at Junction 1 on the M90 motorway, only half a mile from the Forth Road Bridge and 12 miles north of Edinburgh. This position, sitting at the junction of the M90 and the A985, is ideally suited for access to both Edinburgh to the South, Dundee and Perth to the North and Glasgow to the West.

Matthew Chillingworth, Fund Manager, Hermes Real Estate Investment Management Limited, said: “The letting to C&A Auto Centre is a testament to the hard work of the respective management teams as well as the first rate space on offer in the Belleknowes Industrial Estate. Moreover, it is demonstrative of our continued commitment to investing in the long term future of the Belleknowes.”

Kirsty Palmer, Associate Director for Jones Lang LaSalle, commented: “Excellent access to the M90 and Forth Road Bridge combined with the landlord’s flexible approach has been key in securing C&A Autocentre. With the works already underway for the new Forth Road crossing, we’re well placed to provide good quality accommodation to a range of occupiers seeking to reap the benefits of this strategic location.”

Formerly famed for its ship yards in the earlier part of the 20th Century, Inverkeithing has retained its eminence in the industrial sector, home to numerous industrial occupiers who value its central location and commercial viability. The local area has thrived following regeneration of the North Shore including improvements to Rosyth, Dunfermline and Inverkeithing itself. Other occupiers at Belleknowes Industrial Estate include Plumb Store, and Iron Mountain.

Unit 26 is Under Offer leaving two remaining units of circa 5,500 sq ft available. Ryden are joint agents for the scheme.
