Jones Lang LaSalle secures outline planning for Thales site, Wells

188 new homes to be built under redevelopment plans


Bristol, 29 August 2012 - Jones Lang LaSalle has secured outline planning consent for a new housing development at the Thales facility in Wells, Somerset.

The 13 acre former research and development facility will be redeveloped for housing with the indicative layout demonstrating 188 two - five bedroom homes.
 
A resolution to grant consent for the Wookey Hole Road site was unanimously approved by Mendip District Council Planning Board.
 
Kevin Hunt, planning consultant at Jones Lang LaSalle said: “The Thales site offers an exciting opportunity for developers to deliver 188 much-needed new homes for the city of Wells.
 
“We are confident this is a development that will offer real benefits to the community of Wells and help support growth.”
