Manpower commit to Gainsborough House

Newcastle, 27 September 2012 – Recruitment specialists, Manpower UK Ltd have signed up to a ten year lease on a 6,000sqft office at Gainsborough House leaving only one floor available to let.

Gainsborough House is a mixed use four storey property, centrally positioned in the prime location of Grey Street, Newcastle.  The second and third floors of the building have recently undergone a comprehensive refurbishment programme which was monitored by Jones Lang LaSalle’s Project Services and Development team.

Simon Taylor, Associate Director at Jones Lang LaSalle, who acted for Cushman and Wakefield Investors in letting the office commented: “Following the refurbishment of the 2nd and 3rd floors of Gainsborough House we are delighted to have secured new tenants for the 2nd floor.  Manpower were looking for larger offices to accommodate their expanding business.  This letting demonstrates the continued attractiveness of Grey Street and the flexibility of Gainsborough House to accommodate expanding occupiers”.

There is now only one floor remaining in Gainsborough House as the first and fourth floors are occupied by Irwin Mitchell Solicitors and the ground floor is due to be occupied by a national restaurant chain within the coming months.
Tony Wordsworth, Director at joint agents GVA added: ‘The building offers Grade A office accommodation with good natural light and excellent flexibility with open plan floor plates of 6,000sqft and on site car parking. We have a number of active enquiries for the third floor, which we are able to split into two suites and hope to make further announcements before the end of the year.’
The third floor is available to let through joint agents Jones Lang LaSalle and GVA.  Manpower were represented by Marchmont Chartered Surveyors.
