Hat trick of deals at Preston’s Marshall House

Joint agents Jones Lang LaSalle and Robert Pinkus & Co. complete hat trick at city centre office building

Manchester, 29 October 2012 – Three new tenants have taken space at Hurstwood Holdings’ nine-storey city centre office building Marshall House on Preston’s Ringway.

Joint agents Jones Lang LaSalle and Robert Pinkus & Co advised on lettings to membership savings and discount club, Consumer Focus Direct, consumer claims company, Legal Link, and Habi, a Preston-based solicitors.

Marshall House, which was recently refurbished, is situated on the city’s inner circular route and is adjoined to both Preston’s Magistrates Court and Law Courts.
Jones Lang LaSalle and Robert Pinkus & Co. are continuing to market further suites at the scheme.

Richard Wharton, director, office agency, Jones Lang LaSalle in Manchester, said: “Interest in Preston’s city centre office stock has been limited but if marketed pragmatically, with realistic rents and flexible term options available to new tenants, space can, and will be let successfully.

“As Hurstwood Holdings have demonstrated at Marshall House, landlord flexibility is key to encouraging new businesses to the city’s central locations.”

Mark Carling, sales director, at Hustwood Holdings said, “We have seen a recent surge in interest at Marshall House and securing three new tenants for the building is a good indicator that things are starting to pick up in the Preston city office sector.”
