SgurrEnergy expands presence at 225 Bath Street

Glasgow, 30 October 2012 - SgurrEnergy Ltd will now occupy a combined 14,456 sq ft of space in 225 Bath Street after leasing the last available suite in the building in order to support the company’s rapid growth.

The leading renewable energy engineering consultancy, which is part of international energy services company, Wood Group, has signed a new 10 year lease on a 6,755 sq ft third floor suite, and has renewed terms on its existing 7,701 sq ft unit on the same floor.

Jones Lang LaSalle acted jointly with Ryden on behalf of Real Estate Fund Managers PRUPIM on the new letting and lease regear in the property, which is located in the heart of Glasgow city centre.

225 Bath Street is SgurrEnergy’s UK head office and over 100 of the global firm’s staff will now be based on the third floor of the property. The contemporary building provides a range of attractive features including bright, open plan flexible floor space, a newly refurbished double height reception area, commissionaire manned reception and secure dedicated car parking.

Angela Pirie, director, Jones Lang LaSalle, Glasgow said: “225 Bath Street has become one of Glasgow City Centre’s most popular business addresses and we are delighted it is now fully occupied following this latest letting to SgurrEnergy. This result has been achieved within less than a year of PRUPIM acquiring the building.”

Robert Lockhart from SgurrEnergy said: “225 Bath Street is an ideal location for our head office and this expansion will support our continued growth. In this, our tenth year of operation we are looking forward to building on our success to date, delivering renewable energy expertise around the world, from our Glasgow base.”

Other tenants located at 225 Bath Street are Cunningham Lindsay, Ove Arup, WA Fairhurst and Partners, Aecom and Indigo Lighthouse.
