Jones Lang LaSalle completes work on One Derby Square, Liverpool

Liverpool project and development services team leads on 12,000 sq ft refurbishment

Liverpool,  November 2012 – Jones Lang LaSalle’s Liverpool-based project and development services team has completed the delivery of  a 12,000 sq ft commercial office refurbishment at One Derby Square in the heart of the city’s business district.

The team was appointed as lead consultant to oversee a comprehensive refurbishment of the 4th floor of the landmark 1950s building -known for its elegant curved façade - by its owner, Hong Kong-based Mordril Properties Ltd.
The four-month project has created a series of self-contained office suites ranging from 1,292 sq ft to 3,649 sq ft with flexibility to combine.
The scheme is the second phase of a comprehensive Grade A refurbishment programme at the building, located on the junction of Castle Street and Lord Street, which began in 2009. In September 2011, healthcare business Medicash took the 12,807 sq ft third floor in one of the largest property deals of the year.
Tony Bostock, director in Jones Lang LaSalle’s project & development services team, said: “Liverpool’s core business district around Castle Street has regained popularity thanks to some excellent refurbishment schemes, quality public realm improvements and its convenient location near to the retail and leisure attractions at Liverpool One.

“The combination of One Derby Square’s striking frontage, prestigious location and new high-quality flexible suites should prove popular with the market.”
