Mackenzie Stuart makes move into last remaining office suite at No1 Whitehall Riverside

Making NFU Mutual’s Grade A building in Leeds fully let

Leeds, 10 January 2013 – On behalf of NFU Mutual, Jones Lang LaSalle and Savills have let 6,409 sq ft of office space to Mackenzie Stuart at No 1 Whitehall Riverside in Leeds.

Recruitment consultants Mackenzie Stuart has relocated its Leeds business to No 1 Whitehall Riverside, agreeing a 10-year lease on the last remaining suite which makes the iconic riverside office building fully let. The prestigious Grade A office building, which comprises a total 127,731 sq ft of space, now boasts a full complement of high quality occupiers including BNY Mellon, Cobbetts, Dickinson Dees and Grant Thornton.

Richard Thornton, director in Jones Lang LaSalle’s office agency team in Leeds, said: “This letting to Mackenzie Stuart is the culmination of a very successful marketing campaign which has taken full advantage of occupier preference for prime grade A offices. Over the course of 2012, some 45% of space transacted in the city centre has been for Grade A offices including the subletting of 17,000 sq ft at No1 Whitehall Riverside by Dickinson Dees from BNY Mellon.”

David Hidderley, Investment Fund Surveyor at NFU Mutual, added: “The Dickinson Dees letting, which was one of the larger deals seen in Leeds’ city core last year, followed by the arrival of Mackenzie Stuart is testament to just how attractive and successful No 1 Whitehall Riverside has been."

No 1 Whitehall Riverside, which provides office accommodation over eight floors, was acquired by NFU Mutual in 2010.
