JLL has advised Clipper Logistics on the acquisition of the 615,000 sq ft warehouse known as Sheffield 615.  The unit, owned by Logicor has been fully let to Clipper who will operate the facility for PrettyLittleThing.com, part of boohoo.com as a fast moving fashion, shoes and accessories ecommerce logistics operation.

Commenting, Michael Alderton, lead director of JLL's Strategic Occupier Solutions team, said: "Logicor Sheffield 615's size and specification characterise it as one of the UK's most unique warehouses and marks this as the biggest industrial market letting in the UK during 2018 to date and yet again shows the impact of internet retailing on the UK logistics market.  It also holds major significance for JLL as it means that we have now transacted over 1.25 million sq ft of industrial space in the Yorkshire region so far this year."

Steve Parkin, executive chairman of Clipper Logistics, said: "Clipper's new contract with Pretty Little Thing represents one of the Company's most significant contract wins and is demonstrative of Clipper's ability to deliver cost-effective solutions for retailers of any scale. We are delighted to have been awarded this contract with one of the fastest-growing online retailers."

Recently and comprehensively refurbished, Sheffield 615 is located close to junction 34 of the M1 motorway and is able to serve 90% of the UK's population within a four-and-a-half-hour drive time. The warehouse benefits from 15 metre clear eaves height, 33 dock levellers, 15 level access loading doors, 360-degree circulation, a new additional yard, 229 car parking spaces and a 3MVA power supply.
