JLL has announced the UK launch of NXT Office, a unique and immersive technology set to revolutionise how occupiers search for new office space across London.

Designed by JLL, NXT Office offers an unprecedented digital experience for occupiers to share information, facilitate selection and accelerate the strategic decision making involved in finding new office accommodation.

The state-of-the-art NXT Office studio, designed and built by Tetris - the design, fit-out and refurbishment specialist which is a wholly owned subsidiary of JLL, will be located at JLL's UK headquarters in London, and provides a collaborative setting for new real estate experiences.  In the NXT Office space, the client moves freely between and within the potential new office buildings, enjoying a virtual experience via a unique technology interface which allows them to experience the space and physically manipulate plans, images and data controlled by infra-red sensors. There are nine interconnected screens ensuring the highest quality user experience which is able to present a number of facets of the search process simultaneously.

The NXT Office combines technology, including Mezzanine by Oblong Industries and CoCreate by Engage Works, through a bespoke app built specifically for use by JLL. The connected technology provides seamless functionality in the office viewing and selection process, a first in the property market.

Richard Howling, chief operating officer at JLL said: "The NXT Office technology was created to support clients in managing their location strategies and offers a digital journey that makes use of the latest technologies combined with exclusive data sets. Our key objective is to assist companies to make informed property choices through a quicker and simplified selection process."

Neil Prime head of Central London offices at JLL, added: "Our NXT Office studio will completely transform the process of selecting new office space for clients. The time involved in moving from long-list to short-list will be cut dramatically as occupiers will have detailed access to available properties, of which they will be able to enjoy a guided virtual tour supported by pioneering technology."

Initially launched by JLL's Paris team, NXT Office's key objective is to assist companies to make informed choices. NXT Office is connected to multiple intelligent databases and users will be able to utilise these to gain wider economic and social insights of the locations they are considering.

Richard Howling concluded: "JLL's approach to innovation is driven by anticipating the changing needs of our clients. Combined with the expertise and experience of our market-leading teams, NXT Office will present them with a more efficient and strategic approach to their real estate decision making processes. The NXT platform has enjoyed immense success in Paris, and is continuing to evolve across other parts of our business.  London continues to be one of the most dynamic and evolving property markets and NXT Office will enable us to showcase it to businesses in a whole new way."
