JLL uses brain power to raise £10,000 for Crisis

Staff show their charitable side at annual quiz night

JLL has raised £10,000 in a single evening for its charity partner – Crisis – after a hugely successful annual quiz night at its Canary Wharf offices.

The event saw 17 teams from across various departments in the company spend the evening testing their mental capabilities. It’s the single largest total raised by the professional services firm in one night in the nine years that the popular quiz evening has been running, as staff dug deep to contribute. The event is part of a firm-wide partnership with Crisis, with JLL seeking to raise more than £600,000 over two tears for the charity.

All proceeds from the evening will be donated to the charity that is dedicated to eradicating homelessness in the UK and supporting those rebuilding their lives. During its 50-year history, Crisis has undertaken pioneering research to find ways to reach their goal, with totals such as that raised by JLL being vital to the charity.

The fundraising efforts from JLL were not limited to London either, as a company-wide raffle was held that saw staff based in offices including Manchester, Leeds, Norwich and Edinburgh all take part to help raise the total.

Duncan Cross, Director, Retail Management, said: “I’m thrilled that so many people from across JLL got involved and donated to a very worthwhile cause. We announced Crisis as our charitable partner earlier this year and we’ve enjoyed being able to raise all-important funds for them throughout 2017.

“The annual quiz night is a firm favourite on our social calendar and it was great that we could have fun whilst supporting a fantastic cause. We’ll be continuing our fundraising efforts for Crisis and we’re looking forward to raising even more money for an important charity over the coming weeks and months.”
