JLL joins up with homeless charity Crisis

And starts fundraising in Leeds for this egg-cellent cause

​LEEDS, 12 April 2017 – Property consultants JLL has entered into a new two year charity partnership with Crisis, the national charity for homeless people.

The two year partnership is particularly pertinent for JLL’s Leeds offices given the growing concern over homelessness in the city.

To raise money for Crisis this Easter period, JLL’s Residential office on Park Place in Leeds city centre is raffling a 10kg Belgian chocolate egg, currently on display in its shop window.

The prize draw raffle is free, and for each visitor or client who enters, JLL will donate £1 on their behalf. The winner will be drawn at random by JLL and naturally gets to take home the 70cm high chocolate egg as their prize.

Sharan Dhilhon Moffatt, head of residential estate agency at JLL, said: “We want to celebrate Easter and in doing so, raise money for Crisis. For every entrant into the raffle, JLL will donate £1 to Crisis with the aim of both raising money and awareness for this great cause.”

Crisis is a national organisation for homeless people. It is dedicated to ending homelessness through delivering life-changing services and lobbying government. Last year, it supported over 10,000 homeless people on their journey out of homelessness, through one-to-one coaching, employability training, classes and courses, mental health support and more. With rough sleeping on the rise, Crisis is working harder than ever before to help alleviate it.

Charlotte Stabb, joint fundraising co-ordinator in JLL’s Leeds office, added: “As a responsible business in the city, with a major influence in the property industry and beyond, we have an important role to play in such an important issue as homelessness.

“Everyone in our Leeds team is keen to be involved with Crisis. As well as the Easter egg raffle, have a number of other fantastic fundraising activities planned including a charity walk and summer themed event.”
