LEEDS, 22 March 2017 – Over 250 guests from Yorkshire's property community, representing developers, funders and consultants, helped raise over £1,200 at a charity fundraising lunch in Leeds last Thursday 16 March. The amount raised, largely from ticket sales and a prize raffle draw, will be split equally between two charities Wakefield Hospice and Crisis UK.Now into its tenth year, the French themed event known as the Alternative Lunchtime Drinks reception was held at the Atlas pub on King Street. It coincided with the annual global real estate conference known as MIPIM which takes place in the South of France.Sponsored by the Leeds offices of JLL, Santander, Muse Developments, PWC and Squire Patton Boggs, it was once again a sell out within two weeks of tickets going on sale.Jeff Pearey, Lead Director – North East at JLL, and one of the event's sponsors, said: "It is great to see so many property professionals from across Leeds come together year-on-year to help support two very deserving charities. Whilst people are inevitably drawn together by the networking opportunities that this event offers, the fact we ultimately raise so much for charity is also a huge bonus. It will remain a key event on the property calendar for years to come."
