Royal Mead success signals office market upturn

Bath, 10 October 2013 - Royal Mead, one of Bath’s most prestigious office buildings, is now fully let as financial services company Altus relocates from the Widcombe area,  taking 7,000 sq ft.

Royal MeadThe move follows two other high-profile lettings in the last six months – Investec Bank which has relocated from Gay Street, taking 3,000 sq ft on the third floor, and Star Search, the largest Pay-Per-Click advertising agency in the South West, which has taken 1,400 sq ft.
John Mulholland, director at Jones Lang LaSalle, who managed all three transactions said:
"Located opposite Bath Spa train station, the interest in this building - together with the significant improvements that have taken place in the immediate area – show that this area of the city is increasingly important for the office sector.
“As we see improved confidence and an upturn in occupier demand, we are now facing a situation where we’re moving towards a shortage of quality office stock in the city centre.

"Certainly, the premium locations are performing well and we expect this trend to continue."
