Birmingham, 10th October 2016 - A record number of cars got revved up for JLL's annual charity Classic and Sports Car Reliability Run.Raising nearly £6000 for the property firm's chosen charity - Starlight Children's Foundation, the event attracted over 50 entrants and almost 90 leading professionals from Birmingham's property and wider business community.Nurton Developments, Opus Land, LCP Properties and Prologis were amongst the names who turned up in a vast array of cars, which included a Bentley GT Speed, 1955 Chryster New Yorker Sedan and Triumph Spitfire.Organiser, Nigel Simkin, director in the Planning and Development team of JLL said: "We were absolutely thrilled by the very high turnout this year. More cars equals more money for charity and a tremendous team spirit was felt as we headed through the West Midlands countryside to Donington Park and then meandered back again to The Boot at Lapworth."There's no better place to start than Rybrooks Hockley Heath dealership. Once again Rybrook did us proud and handed out the bacon butties before waving the chequered flag to send us on our way." “We also could not host the event without the support of EOS Interiors who kindly met the cost of our lunch. I would also like to thank the team at Donington Park for providing such a good focal point for the event”Philip Bartleet from Rybrook added: "We always look forward to JLL's Classic and Sports Car Reliability Run, meeting so many like minded enthusiasts who clearly enjoy their cars. This year did not disappoint. The car park was overflowing and spirits were high. We've been supporting it since the beginning and now it's very much an established highlight of the events calendar."The Starlight charity aims to brighten the lives of seriously and terminally ill children by wish granting and also by providing fun, entertainment, laughter and distraction for children in every children's hospital ward and hospice throughout the United Kingdom. To date JLL has raised approximately £600,000 for the charity nationally.
