JLL appoints new lead director for South West & Wales from 2017

Jeremy Richards to step down from the role with Simon Peacock taking up the mantle


BRISTOL, October 4th 2016 – Jeremy Richards, lead director of the South West & Wales region at property consultancy JLL, is to step down from the role at the end of this year with Simon Peacock appointed to take up the position.

Simon and JeremyJeremy Richards will be taking on the role of chairman of the South West & Wales region from January 2017 after nearly 14 years as head of the Bristol office of JLL, including five as head of the region, which also encompasses offices in Cardiff, Exeter and Southampton.

Simon Peacock, who is currently director of project and development services at JLL, based in the Bristol office, and will become lead director for the region, has worked at JLL for more than 16 years.

We are very fortunate to have such a strong and experienced team in the region to take the business forward and I am delighted to announce that Simon Peacock will be taking up the role of lead director from 2017.”

Simon Peacock said: “My appointment comes at an exciting time for JLL as we prepare to move our Bristol offices to a state-of-the-art space at 31 Great George Street, which will enable a more modern style of working. I’m looking forward to leading a team that is involved in a wide range of projects and deals that help to shape the towns and cities across our region.”

Jeremy Richards said: “It has been a real privilege to lead such a fantastic team. After 14 years of heading up the Bristol office, now feels like the right time to take on new challenges that will help underpin the growth of JLL in the region. I will be focusing my time on client relationships, nurturing talent and working with the business community. Simon will bring energy, experience and a fresh perspective to our ever-evolving business.”

JLL works on a range of high profile projects across the region, including advising on the new 580,000 sq ft industrial development at the former Rolls Royce site in Bristol, and the marketing of Oceansgate, a new hub for marine businesses in Plymouth.
