Cardiff Alloy Repair secures its first property following recent growth

Property consultancy JLL secures lease at Southpoint Industrial Estate, Cardiff

CARDIFF, September 26 2016 – Cardiff Alloy Repair has agreed a lease for its first premises in line with its plans for company expansion.

The privately-owned company has been in operation since 2013, operating as a mobile business by carrying out repairs on vehicles at clients’ premises. The company specialises in alloy wheel refurbishment and minor bodywork repairs. Cardiff Alloy Repair has agreed a lease for 1,615 sq ft (150.03 sq m) of industrial accommodation at unit P6, Southpoint Industrial Estate.

The industrial estate is located 2.5 miles to the south east of Cardiff city centre and provides tenants with excellent transport links to both the M4 motorway, and the city centre.

Laurie Hanlon, graduate surveyor at property consultancy JLL in Cardiff, who negotiated the lease, said: “In Cardiff, there is constant demand for good quality industrial units around this size and specification. With few speculative industrial developments being constructed in Cardiff in recent years, the existing supply of smaller units is struggling to meet demand.

“The successful letting of unit P6, has left JLL with just two high quality units of a similar size in and around Cardiff. Unit H4 and unit H6, The Levels Business Park, Wentloog, are both 3,552 sq ft in size and offer a similar specification to unit P6.”

Mr Mark Bailey, owner of Cardiff Alloy Repair said: “We are delighted to have found this unit in such an excellent location for our business. The size and specification is exactly what we were looking for as it will help us grow.”

Unit P6, now occupied by Cardiff Alloy Repair, consists of about 1,615 sq ft of industrial warehouse accommodation and includes a single roller shutter door, office accommodation and two designated parking spaces. Unit P6 is the first property the company will use for operational purposes.

JLL is the sole agent for the property, which is owned by a private investor.
