Jones Lang LaSalle markets 14-storey residential development opportunity in Liverpool’s Sefton Park

Agency appointed by HCA to dispose of freehold interest in Merebank tower

Merebank Sefton Park Liverpool.JPGLiverpool, 13 March 2013 – Jones Lang LaSalle has been instructed by the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) to market a 14-storey residential development opportunity in Liverpool’s Sefton Park.

The property consultancy will attract a buyer to acquire and refurbish Merebank tower, which comprises 58 flats. The HCA is seeking a bidder to refurbish the vacant properties for sale or to let on the open market.

Built in the 1960s, the majority of the properties feature three bedrooms and balconies, with the upper floors enjoying panoramic views of Sefton Park and Liverpool city centre.

Merebank is located between Greenbank Lane and Greenbank Drive in Liverpool’s popular Sefton Park. An asking price has not been quoted.

Chris Prescott, director at Jones Lang LaSalle in Liverpool, said: “Merebank represents an attractive development opportunity in one of Liverpool’s most desirable residential areas. We’ve already received significant interest and anticipate achieving a good value for the asset.

“The scheme will bring a vacant property back to the open market at a time when we’re seeing increased activity from residential buyers and investors.”
