Scots housing body relocates Edinburgh HQ

Chartered Institute of Housing Scotland makes move to new space in Fountainbridge

EDINBURGH, 1 August 2016 - CIH Scotland has relocated its Scottish base to newly refurbished office space in Fountainbridge, Edinburgh.

CIH Scotland, which works to shape housing and community agendas whilst supporting more than 2,200 members across Scotland, relocated to a newly refurbished 2,648 sq ft ground floor suite within Grade A building, 160 Dundee Street. CIH Scotland was previously based on Princes Street in the city centre.

JLL acted as joint agents with CKD Galbraith on behalf of landlords Vibernum to secure the 10 year lease, while Savills acted for CIH Scotland. CIH Scotland joins tenants Blackwood Housing Association, Jacobs Engineering, CIPFA and Experian amongst others at 160 Dundee Street.

Only two suites remain for let at 160 Dundee Street including a 5,735 sq ft space with roof terrace and an open plan refurbished suite at 3,536 sq ft. Overlooking the West Approach Road, one of Edinburgh's busiest arterial routes, the property is ideally located to the city centre and Scotland's wider motorway network.

Geoff Scott, Associate Director at JLL in Edinburgh, said: "With increasingly high occupancy levels in central Edinburgh, high quality space on the periphery of the city centre is proving popular with prospective occupiers. Located to the west of Edinburgh's financial district, CIH Scotland's new location offers an ideal base which is easily accessible for visitors travelling from other parts of Scotland. A 10 minute walk from Edinburgh Haymarket railway station, the area is also well serviced by local transport."
