Jones Lang LaSalle appointed on City Gate

Nottingham, 18th March, 2013 - Jones Lang LaSalle has been instructed as joint agents on City Gate, Nottingham's single largest office building totaling 170,000 sq ft.

Positioned on one of the main gateways to the city centre, at the top of Maid Marian Way, City Gate is an instantly recognisable landmark building on the Nottingham skyline. The building offers good quality refurbished office space with on-site secure car parking and full concierge service. The space is flexible to accommodate requirements from 5,876 sqft with a single floor plate of 17,000 sqft.
James Keeton, Associate Director at Jones Lang LaSalle, Nottingham who was successful in securing the instruction said:
"In a city where vacant grade A space is a scarcity and with no new space coming forward, City Gate offers a true credible alternative for occupiers looking for good quality, cost effective city centre offices.
City Gate is situated in an unrivalled location; the building offers newly refurbished space with excellent on-site parking and also has the advantage of Nottingham’s largest floor plate which can be split with the benefit of multiple cores. The high calibre tenant mix pays testament to the stature of the building and includes amongst others Ernst & Young, IBM, Evening Post, Gateley and Regus.
City Gate has always been successful in attracting new occupiers and we would expect the remaining vacant space to be taken by an existing occupier in the city, a corporate moving within the city or possibly a business looking for an East Midlands presence.  Clearly the team at Jones Lang LaSalle will be using its UK wide and global presence in the real estate market to seek out possible inward investors."
Offering excellent connectivity, City Gate is situated in the heart of the city centre and close to bus, tram and rail links, and is only a 15 minute walk from Nottingham railway station.
Commenting on Jones Lang LaSalle's appointment Simon McIntosh of F&C Reit said:
"We were keen to work with James and the team because of their strong market track record in Nottingham and following a number of recent high profile office transactions. Jones Lang LaSalle also offer significant regional, UK wide and global presence in the real estate market and this enables us to tick all the boxes for accessing possible inward investors and getting close to potential prospects in the city."
Jones Lang LaSalle will act as joint agents with Geo Hallam.
