JLL swapped suits for overalls for Give & Gain Day 2016

Building Consultancy, Cost Management & Project Management got their hands dirty at Battersea Garden Project

LONDON, 20th May, 2016 - JLL's Building Consultancy, Cost Management & Project Management teams swapped suits for overalls for this year's Give & Gain Day on 20th May 2016.

The teams had a great day volunteering for Thrive at it its Battersea Garden Project. Thrive is a horticultural charity that uses gardening to bring about positive changes in the lives of people living with disabilities or ill health, or who are isolated, disadvantaged or vulnerable.

Give & Gain Day, organised by Business in the Community (BITC), is the UK's only national day of volunteering. Now in its ninth year, it saw thousands of people from hundreds of companies volunteering. The day is designed to make volunteering fun and accessible and to encourage workplaces to allow employees to volunteer during work time. JLL, a longstanding supporter and member of BITC, has an on-going employee volunteering programme with active involvement from many of its UK-based teams throughout each year.

Helen Gough, Head of Buildings & Construction, JLL, said: “It was great to see JLL’s Building Consultancy, Cost Management and Project Management teams get stuck in at Battersea Garden Project. As a company we are dedicated to placing more emphasis on our community, as part of our Building for Tomorrow sustainability programme. Give & Gain is a great way to do this and help tackle some of the key issues facing society.”
