Leeds, 19 March 2013 – Industrial warehouse space of more than 600,000 sq ft in one of the region’s largest distribution parks has come to the market.
Five units at Wakefield Europort extending to 281,000 sq ft, 200,000 sq ft, 65,000 sq ft, 37,000 sq ft and 27,000 sq ft respectively are being marketed by property consultants Sanderson Weatherall and Jones Lang LaSalle.
Richard Harris, head of ndustrial and logistics team at Jones Lang LaSalle in Leeds, said: “The lack of available quality product along the M62 in both the logistics and small unit markets will drive a good level of enquiries to these units, particularly given the prime location at Junction 31. "The units are highly specified and provide an unrivalled opportunity for owner occupiers and investors alike.”
Lauren O’Toole, surveyor at Jones Lang LaSalle in Leeds, added: “These units offer a high quality product in a range of sizes in an excellent location in terms of both accessibility and neighbouring occupiers.”
Jonathon White, head of industrial agency in Sanderson Weatherall's Leeds office, concluded: "The largest unit we are marketing which extends to 281,000 sq ft and is available with a further 6.2 acres of expansion land provides a rare opportunity for occupiers seeking immediate possession. Likewise the smaller units provide an attractive freehold status in a location where relatively few freehold opportunities exist.”
The scheme already has occupiers including Asda, Warburtons, Argos, TK Maxx and Royal Mail.
Jones Lang LaSalle and Sanderson Weatherall are acting on behalf of the administrators Ernst and Young.
