Anyone for Tennis?  JLL and the Tim Henman Foundation partner for a good cause

Monday, 9th May 2016 - JLL clients and employees descended on Roehampton last week to play an exclusive mixed doubles tennis tournament alongside legend of the game Tim Henman.

The 32 players took to the courts in aid of the Tim Henman Foundation, which was established to give vulnerable children educational opportunities and to help young people facing ill health and disability. The Foundation collaborates with business, education, charity and sports organisations.

The first Tim Henman Foundation ACE centre opened in March this year and aims to deliver outreach, training and leadership opportunities in areas of national skills shortages. The Foundation’s partners currently include Centrepoint, a charity for homeless young people, and Naomi House and Jacksplace hospices that care for children and young adults.

Tim Henman commented: “It was great to play some tennis with JLL and clients. Having the support of companies like JLL is essential to raising awareness about the work of the Tim Henman Foundation and to broaden the horizons of disadvantaged children.”

Andrew Hynard, UK Deputy Chairman at JLL, added: “At JLL we place a strong emphasis on supporting charities and our local communities and it was a joy to partner with the Foundation for this event. We are very passionate about getting more people from a range of backgrounds into our sector, and we hope to work with Tim and his Foundation in the future to help inform and educate more young people about the career opportunities in the property industry.”
